WMUR Girl Scout tour

After a snow storm on Feb 13th, cancelling school and other after school activities, girl scout troop 211 finally made it to the Channel 9 WMUR Newsroom located in Manchester, NH on March 12th, 2008 with only a few flurries in the air. As we entered the building we were pleasantly greeted by Kevin Norton, our tour guide, who did a wonderful job. Upon walking through the station we first met Jamie Staton, Sports Anchor. The girls were thrilled to get their business cards signed by Kria Sakakeeny, Anchor/Reporter, Mike Haddad, Chief Meteorologist, and anchorwoman Jean Mackin. Jumping around the newsroom floor with the excitement of seeing themselves on several television screens was also a big hit. To wrap up a wonderful trip, we all stopped by Dairy Queen for some sugar. Kudos to Anne for arranging such a memorable afternoon. And a special thanks to the friendly staff at WMUR Channel 9 News.
